“In Case of memory Loss” is probably the best episode so far since the pilot of “A Gifted man”. All the storylines of the episode were interesting and would really make anyone stay tuned with every scene. Another great thing about this is that Rita was featured in this episode.

A Gifted Man Season 1 Episode 7

Here is a recap of the episode.

In this episode, Michael had to treat the medical case of George. While George and Michael were playing soccer at the park, George suddenly fell down and was having difficulty breathing. Michael told George to head to Clinica Sanando so he could get checked. George followed Michael and was initially diagnosed by Kate. The initial diagnosis was that George might have a respiratory infection, but then, George just started coughing out blood. Kate immediately called Michael and told him that George might have tuberculosis. However, the results showed that he is clear of TB so Kate consulted Michael and asked for his medical history. Michael decided to confront George and told him that he might have Pneumonia or HIV, which George begged of Michael not to tell his wife. Again, the results of the test were negative for HIV. When George’s wife Maria showed up at the hospital, she mentioned about the unusual loss of weight and habit of eating lots of salty food. This made Michael conclude that George has Addison’s disease When brought back to the clinic, they discovered more medical issues like brain tumor, blocked adrenal glands and lung cancer, which leads to Michaels conclusion of Addison’s disease. George undergone chemo to treat his lung cancer and by the end of the episode, George finally revealed his drug addiction history.

Meanwhile, another story was featured in this episode, this time about a drunken homeless man whom Michael noticed because of his scar at the back which suggests that he had undergone a surgery. He remembered the man; it was Donnie Bremmer, an ex- football player who has a spinal fracture that Michael operated on. But the problem was not his scar; it was the fact that Bremmer could not remember Michael or his own identity. The results showed were fine and did not suggest any medical problem. Michael decided to electrocute Donnie’s brain but was a failure. However, Rita uplifted Michael’s spirit and told him that he was successful to find Donnie and move him away from the streets.

The third story was about a teenager who passed out on the bathroom. Chloe, the teenager, claims that she hit her head on the mirror but Michael does not believe her and thinks that she is inflicting self injuries. Chloe’s mother mentioned that Chloe saw her best friend die in an incident that she too was involved.
