This CBS emotional drama is about a successful but snobbish doctor, Michael Holt, who runs a clinic in an upmarket area in the New York City. His diligence towards his work, his hard working attitude and his wealthy clients have brought him a lot of wealth. Despite his palatial home and enormous wealth, the guy is lonely. His wife Anna died a long time ago.

Holt is continuing with his life when one day Anna appears to him in his dreams. She talks to him, teaching him the meaning of life. This brings about a change in the man and he soon becomes more open seems happier. His sister Christina notices the change and asks the reason. Holt tells her everything. She doesn’t really believe him but thinks it’s good if it’s brought a positive change in her brother’s life.

One day, in another dream, Anna asks Holt to go to the clinic where she practiced and help the disadvantaged. Anna was a free clinic doctor who worked in underprivileged areas. It isn’t easy for Holt to adjust as his new patients are very different from the ones he’s used to take care of. However, his attitude towards poor patients begin to change as he spends more time with them.
