The only episode that garnered good viewership numbers was on March 2 nd, which was the finale of the series. This was the only thing that the team of “The Gifted Man” could cheer about. In place of the series, CBS played a gamble, by broadcasting Undercover Boss, which to everyone’s surprise did well than ‘The Gifted Man,” and cost the network much less. Looks like; it is truly the end of the road for the show as CBS is gearing up to buy new shows and remove the old non-performing ones. And, for those who liked this supernatural drama, it is time to bid the show good-bye.

And when the time came, and he was taking his award, he noticed that Gene is sweating badly and he ends up fainting in the middle of the ceremony, he claims that it was a mild case of jetlag, with his temperature going sky high up to 102, which results in Gene taking an Aids test, but he refused and told him that he hasn’t slept with Trish, but things oscillate and he ends up in the OR in the emergency intubation. After tests and examination we discovered that Gene had a diffused rhonchi accompanied by liver failure. To make it simple, his kidneys were closing down. The reason for it turned out to be a lesion infection that Trish and Gene had, and he comforts them by telling them that the cure is easy.

And now onto another storyline which was linked to Louise, she tells her story to Kate, because she had a series of events that ended in a swollen foot, she does x-rays and examinations, and meanwhile she tells Kate that she had undergone heart surgery. So Kate does a blood panel and she refused to tell her that her heart came from Anna, but she tells Michael.

The rest of the show included hardship in Kate’s live as she and Michael talk about the kiss they had last episode, which spurs a lot of tension and problems. And more into Kate’s life as she and Harrison had a fight concerning Harrison not being available back at home, and she was criticizing his actions. And she tells Zeke that her marriage is hanging by a thread, and she isn’t having any good hopes about their near future, concerning her marriage. And job offers made things worse, as Harrison got an offer to work as a CEO in Houston and tells her that she can have her own free clinic at Houston. And in the end, as she told Michael, she decided to stay in New York and work on her marriage instead of taking on the job offer at Houston.

All in all, we felts that Anna wasn’t used enough this season, which was the same case on this episode, she was merely appearing on the show. plus, her character and role haven’t developed throughout the course of the season.

Michael learns that a patient at the clinic has a special connection to Anna. Meanwhile, Michael reunites with an old friend who is suffering from a rare illness.

That breakdown was due to a stroke, and Paul tells Rita that Michael will be the one taking any decisions concerning Lily’s health. His decision was for her to undergo a crainectomy, but the doctor opinion was against it as they saw it being useless, so Michael decided to keep her alive on life support. But it ended in a dramatic way when mozart was playing; he held her hand with care and pulled the plug on her.

But there were other stories as well, as a player form Zeke’s band got hurt during practice, Scott, he came to clinica Sanando with a splint off and his hand is very infected. And he undergoes an examination which turns out to be very dangerous bacteria, a flesh eating bacteria, and that it would result in cutting of his arm. Then he loses sense of his fingers and can’t move them and he is sent to Holt Neuro for wide Debridement. And after they discovered the PICC lien scar on his arm, they know that he suffers from Lymphoma, and that this isn’t a flesh eating bacteria but a much compromised immune system case.

We also got to see E-Mo return to the show after being away in Mau for 3 weeks, as it seems that he slipped a desk, and he is now undergoing muscle therapy sessions. And he informs Michael about a man he met in Hawaii, an environmental lawyer. And by Anna’s help, Michael tells him that he knows that he’s afraid and he replies by admitting it, saying that he always been afraid of relationships. Then we see Michael and Anna fighting about Lily’s case and tell him that he should get the memory out of her life and accept the fact that she is gone. E-Mo sees all of this and asks him who is he talking to, he told him that he is speaking with himself.

So watch the next episode to know how things will reveal, who knows what could happen.

The first thing was to establish a link and all the 3 patients actually know each other and do have the same ailment plaguing them. It started with the introduction of the social media person for Christina Milian as Shawnee Baker coming to the clinic complaining of a serious headache that won’t just go away so she is spreading the pain it is giving her.

She is a pop star and takes time to tell Michael that things are not working career wise for her as she got booed off the stage at the momentous event of her comeback concert. She is just twenty three but had been to rehab more than once and she told him that she called off her comeback tour because of fatigue and those headaches.

She starts feeling all funny and saying even funnier things like feeling like she has sun burn and running a temperature when she went in for a scan but to Michael she was just oaky so he says that it is panic but later changes his mind to run a blood test.

As chance would have it, her manager also came into the clinic and Michael had to show Mr. Davis and Shawnee the results of the test. There was nothing wrong with them and she could get back to her tour. But they got to find out that she was completely broke and can afford anything as at this moment. Rita takes up the matter and fans got to know that she too had scuttled her career as a nurse because she was caught drinking on duty. She then tells her that they found amphetamines in her system and warned her not to destroy her career. But she said she had only been taking the pills for the past couple of weeks because of the tour.

Then fans got introduced to a little girl called Simona and Michael on listening to Kate got to find out that she has similar symptoms as that of Shawnee for over 2 weeks but with the added twist that she was seeing her dead grandmother’s ghost. She first of all thought she was dehydrated but the mom sad her daughter had never had a fever before. So she orders that there should be a blood test but before they leave the next day, she had discovered that the mom also had the same symptoms, things were really heating up.

How was this riddle solved? They got to find out that Shawnee fired Ileana and once the tow were linked, Michael decided to go see Shawnee but found her passed out. It turns out that after the explosion of a man hole near her place, carbon monoxide had been building in her home and that was the root cause of the ailment.

Anton and Zeke were also given a look in this episode and the shooting has not helped their relationship. He had a somewhat bizarre experience with one of his arm which Michael somehow had a medical reason for. Kate too is having some serious issues at home and by all indication they will be heading to the divorce courts. It was truly one of their best episodes so far although they are always good at churning out some very weird medical cases.

Then he started forgetting things and at this point it was hard to say whether he was really due to the immense stress of the fear of having the disease or whether it was the disease itself that was showing because that is one of the symptoms of the ailment. Michael confronted him on taking the tests to confirm the true situation of things but he kept on dancing round it.

But things took a different turn when another person cam up to Michal to tell him that something was definitely wrong with him and went on to explain what had happened. Michael then wanted to force the issue by telling him that he was in a state of denial and by the time that conversation was through E Mo had quit. That came as a surprise to almost everybody because it was a line that they expected would come up even as they watched the way things were unraveling very fast.

But in the end, it turned out that he did not have the disease though it would have been somewhat interesting if the writers were bold enough to fully go in that direction.

There was the rather interesting story of Darren who Michael first encountered when he was out for a run and a woman told him that someone had been under the water for over ten minutes. He dived in and ‘rescued’ him and rushed him to the hospital. His body temperature was so low that Michael had to put him on saline drips to get his blood pressure down to normal. He had been unconscious all this while and Michael had to wait till he regained consciousness before he could find out anything concrete about him.

It turns out that he did not remember much about how he got under the water but he remembered having lunch with his sister. He also remembers being mugged and hit on the head with something before passing out. He tells him that his sister’s name is Ella but this is where the drama really begins because when she came in the next day she told them that she hasn’t seen the brother for the past six months and that he had been fired from his job for long now.

He was angry that he sister was asked to come and in response signed out by himself. The long and short of it was that all what he had been going through including being blind was as a result of alcohol addiction. The other interesting story of the night was that of Shari whom Kate was mentoring. A slight knock turned out to be something far worse that meant she had to be operated on in the area of her spinal cord. Then Michael found out from the operation that she was on drugs. At first Kate thought that it was the coach but it turned out that it was Shari that was responsible and she had to advise her to go into rehab.

It was interesting comeback episode although not all the characters were seen and some stories were not picked upon.

Almost every hospital drama has a time when someone comes in with a gun to do something like this. But what is different is how everything goes down and “A Gifted Man’ is one show that thrives on bringing up unique situations as this was no different.

Michael the saint can do no wrong, right? Well not in this eyes of this woman as he came to court to court to sort of defend as arsonist who also caused the death of three people when setting up the fire.

Apparently Jake the arsonist had a cancer of the brain that affected his judgment and the surgery he underwent also made it clinically impossible for him to take care of himself. So he was released to the care of his parents and it was Michael’s view that he should not be held accountable for his actions because he was not really okay as a person. One of the people that got killed in the fire was a 6 year old girl.

At the clinic and another little girl is being treated after stepping on a glass. The dad came with her and collapses in a faint. When he is revived he complains of chest pains and after a quick test was done, he was diagnosed to have a swollen gallbladder. That was when a woman walks in with a gun.

Anton walks in on the situation and all of them were told to drop their hand sets. The woman’s simple request was that she wanted to talk with Michael. She wanted them to put a call through to him but a call from Michael came through on Kate’s phone. She did not want to pick it up and the lady called Tracy gives off a warning shot.

Meanwhile Eduardo’s gallbladder was not going to wait and his BP rising indicates that the infection has reached his blood stream. They had to operate immediately and Tracy permits this. They had to tie up Anton first for them to do the operation. Tracy was also busy with Kate’s phone and uses it to text Michael that a patient needed help in the clinic.

Zeke and Kate then went on a rather risky banter with Tracy who had a gun pointed at them. That was really not a wise move to make coupled with the fact that they were handling a delicate operation at the same time. The drama heightens when Michael come in and is told to get on his knees. Anton took one in the chest when he lunged for Tracy after he had cut himself lose from the scalpel that Zeke kicked his way.

Rita had earlier called the police to go check the place out after his calls were not being answered. But in the end it was Michael that talked the woman down and had to do his magic on Anton to save his life.

As for the love angle of this episode, it dwelt around Rita and Anna having reasons to believe that Michael was really interested in Kate whose marriage is really experiencing a rocky patch. Another things fans got to know was that Michael’s sister Christina and Zeke have started dating. But Anton is still much in the framework if he has anything to do about it. The way he told Zeke about her shows that he is more than willing to continue with their relationship. But her going in the same ambulance with him after he was shot did not warrant for Zeke to be upset. She does care for Anton but reading too much into that won’t help him. the guy had just been shot for crying out loud and it was the least she could do. This was a good episode.

Trust the writers of this show to find some edgy stories; the risk of operating was that removing the tumor could also make him loose his inspiration to paint because of the region where the tumor was. The wife coming in did not help matters because she was in favor of him getting a job because the painting wasn’t bringing much in. in the end he decided to go for the surgery because it would give him a chance to be there for his wife.

Another case was that of Meribel a 16 year old girl who came into the hospital complaining of not feeling well. It didn’t take long for the doctors to come to know that she was going into labor and she had to deliver her baby in one of the room not meant for delivery. On delivering the child she tells than that she doesn’t have anyone. Kate didn’t want the baby to end up in a shelter so she convinced Autumn to delay reporting until they find the father. By the time Kate gets back, Meribel had disappeared without the child and the only they had going was that he mentioned his boyfriend’s name as being Lucky. They later got to know that he was killed at his sixteenth birthday. Meribel then came back but this time with fever and had to be given a bed. In the end, the mother of Lucky who was not on speaking terms with Meribel steeped up and they mended fences because of the child. It left Christina heartbroken because she was ready to adopt the child as her own.

Charlie did lose the ideas that came but E-Mo made him to understand more would come he appreciated the fact that he was still alive, still had his wife and the tumor had been gotten rid of. As for Michael’s birthday, viewers got to know the reason behind keeping his 38th birthday a secret was that his dad died at that age due to alcoholism. They also got to know that E-Mo’s dad died of Huntington’s disease and his brother committed suicide when h found out that he got the genes but he had never checked if h had. Michael convinces him to still go and verify his status. This line they are trailing is given E-Mo more depth and this episode was really interesting.

When Michael’s high school sweetheart comes to Holt Neuro with an irreversible condition, he will stop at nothing to try and save her, until Anna intervenes. Meanwhile, Zeke deals with the news that his best friend’s cancer has returned.

The doctors team up to search for a common link when a spoiled pop star and a young girl both seek treatment for unusual symptoms.
