A Gifted Man is a medical drama TV series that airs on CBS. It focuses on the life of Michael Holt who casts as gifted and self absorbed surgeon in a high level clinic in NYC. Michael’s ex wife Anna is dead but her sprit constantly visits Michael. This forces him to think through his reasons for living. The spirit demands that he supports her low level clinic. Michael is confused about what to do. At a point he is trying to save a pregnant woman with a growth in her brain and a boy suffering sickle cell.

Michael faces several challenges in his work. At some point he comes across patients with discomfort like when a man passes out and is brought to him but does not accept care because he has no insurance. He also notes lesions on a woman’s brain that should be immediately operated but he cannot understand what they indicate.

Michael comes across different kinds of patients, some hearing voices, some depressed over death of loved ones which he consults other professionals to help. Kate joined the clinic but her first day turns out a mess and she receives a grant that is not sufficient. He also encounters patients with memory loss and those with exposures. A man is called when his son is brought in with bruises and he turns violent. Michael calms him down and find out that he has brain tumor from an accident involving a woman with red hair at same spot where Anna died and this confuses him.

The season basically follows the experiences Michael encounters at the clinic which includes even cases of missed communications and abnormal rhythms that send him reflecting about Anna.
